Two Spratt Savings & Loan Employees Announce Retirement

Two Spratt Savings & Loan employees have announced their retirement. Jerlene Roberts, a teller, concludes a 35-year career at the Association’s Great Falls office. The management and staff honored her with a retirement luncheon at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Fort Lawn. Mrs. Roberts will also receive her “35th Year Employee Service Award” recognition.

Management and staff recognized Judy Sterling for 17 years of service at a retirement dinner held at the Front Porch Restaurant in Richburg. She has worked in the accounting department at the Association’s main office in Chester.

Each employee received gifts related to their retirement interests and plaques recognizing their years of service.

Glenn Anderson, CEO of the Association, stated, “the staff and customers will surely miss these two outstanding employees. Both were reliable and committed to superior customer service. Their personal contributions through the years have been significant in helping the Association to achieve its financial goals and objectives. We all wish for Judy and Jerlene many happy and healthy years of leisure and continued personal accomplishment in retirement.”

Spratt Savings & Loan, headquartered in Chester, is South Carolina’s oldest savings institution, providing uninterrupted service since its charter in 1892.
